Hapu’u Frond

The sun filters through the canopy to hit this hapu’u tree fern in the native forests of Alaka’i Swamp on Kaua’i. Hapuÿu tree ferns (Cibotium chamissoi) are endemic to the Hawaiian Islands and are a common sight in the native forests.
