Kanaele Bog

A pair of amorous dragonflies fly over drainage ponds that meander across the landscape in The Nature Conservancy's Kanaele Bog on Kaua’i. Kanaele Bog is the only remaining low elevation bog in Hawaii. It is home to rare and endangered native plants such as the pair of lobelias (Lobelia kauaensis) on the far side of the pond and curious forms of stunted native plants.
