Blossoming Lehua

An array of ‘ohi’a lehua buds (metrosideros polymorpha), each at a different stage of uncoiling, begin the process of blossoming into brilliant lehua flowers. This specimen grows along the Manana Trail in the mountains above Pu’uloa (Pearl Harbor) on O’ahu.
