
Po’ola Nui
This po’ola nui, the native Hawaiian sunflower
(Bidens cosmoides), is endemic only to the island of Kaua’i
and can grow up to 3 inches across. Found in the mesic forests
around Waimea Canyon, po’ola nui flowers are oriented
upside-down to aid in their pollination.
