Dew on Lehua

Drops of dew condense on the vibrant red blossoms of an ‘ohi’a lehua (metrosideros polymorpha) growing on the steep slopes of Mount Ka’ala, the highest point on O’ahu. ‘Ohi’a lehua is endemic to Hawaii and is sacred to Pele, the goddess of volcanoes and fire.
