Ko’oloa Ula

Flowers of this endemic Ko'oloa Ula (Abutilon menziesii), hang upside down like little bells and resemble miniature hibiscus flowers an inch across. Only 10 wild populations of this rare plant are known to exist in what little remains of native dry forests—efforts are being made to increase the numbers of this endangered plant.
