Hapuu Frond Unfurling

A new hapuu frond unfurls itself beneath a canopy of ohia lehua trees in the Puna district of the Big Island of Hawaii. Hapuu (Cibotium chamissoi) is an endemic tree fern commonly found in the understory of many native forests.
